In the first edition of our educational psychology webinar series for this academic year, we were joined by Dr Clare Stephens and SENCO Mel Carroll, as they illustrated how a mainstream secondary school has moved forwards in their practice to build relational approaches and to support the most vulnerable learners in their school community.
The school in question won the Alex Timpson Award in 2023 for their approach, and will provide an excellent reference point for educational psychologists looking to support the schools they work with in improving their practice.
About our speakers
Dr Clare Stephens is an educational psychologist specialising in children and young people. Her background is in developmental neuropsychology.
Mel Carroll is the Deputy Head Teacher at Ravenshall School, having worked in education for 17 years - while also being a special educational needs coordinator (SENCO).
